The CHS Lady Red Devils volleyball team is off to Charleston, departing yesterday afternoon from Calhoun Middle-High School on a chartered bus, the first CHS girls team to go to a state tournament.

They will be playing today at the Charleston Civic Center at 1:30 p.m. against Greater Beckley.

"We're really proud of this team. They've got
what it takes," said coach Angie Hersman (above)

CHS students participated in a rally prior to their departure, with their bus being led by the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department and the Grantsville City Police, making a traditional loop around the county courthouse, tourney bound.
