Charlotte Ann Epling, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, formerly of Spencer, died Sunday, October 29, 2006, in the East Cooper Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, SC.
She was born March 9, 1936, at Liverpool, a daughter of the late Carl and Minnie Phillips Street. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Epling in 1989; two sisters, Lois Hines and Evelyn Horton; three brothers, John P. "Jay" Street, Ronald Street and Gerald Street.
Charlotte retired from the Kellwood Corp., Spencer, in 1995, after 43 years of service. She was a graduate of Gilmore High School, Sandyville. Also, she was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church and the Wetzel Chapter No. 27, Order of the Eastern Star, Spencer.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Robin Epling Jarvis of Charleston, SC; two sons, Scot Epling of Morgantown and Robert Steven Epling of Asheboro, NC; two brothers, William Street of Charleston and Hershel Street of Little Hocking, OH; one sister, Kathryn "Kittie" Carson of Buckhannon; one brother-in-law, Ray Epling of Greenville, SC; one sister-in-law, Norma Pursley of Ripley; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Russell B. Stump officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. |
