Five Calhoun High FFA members went to Indianapolis, Indiana to the 79th annul National FFA Convention October 25-27, an eight-hour trip from the county.
The group enjoyed the 1st Annual National FFA Convention Concert at the RCA Dome. They were entertained by Jason Aldean (Hicktown) and Heartland (I Loved Her First), with the main artist Carrie Underwood (Jesus Take the Wheel).
Terry Bradshaw, a former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, gave a motivational talk, and the group went to the Carley Elk Farm where they sampled elk meat.
They also attended the Indiana State Fair Grounds where they saw the Xtreme bulls tour. The rodeo will be aired on Thanksgiving day on ESPN as part of a 3-hour Xtreme bull block program.
