The Upper West Fork Park would like to thank all who participated and helped with the 2006 Octoberfest and Pageants.
Thank you to Betty Metz for serving as Parade Marshal and all who participated in the parade, including the Grantsville VFW Post 5959, it wouldn't seem like a parade without them.
Thanks to Price's Market of Spencer for donating cabbage and apples, and Susie Brannon for donating sashes for the pageants.
Glenna Perkins, Michelle Sears and helpers stirred up 27 quarts and 44 pints of diabetic apple butter. Quarts are $6.50, pints are $4. To purchase apple butter contact Sharon Settle at 655-8280 or any park committee member.
Special thanks to all volunteers who helped make the Octoberfest happen. The park committee always appreciates new volunteers, their help and input. Feel free to join us anytime.
Kristie Snider and Mitchell McCumbers
Mitchell McCumbers and Kristie Snider were chosen Octoberfest King and Queen. He is the son of Barbara McCumbers, she is the daughter of Sharon Settle.
Thanks to the contestants and their parents who entered the Octoberfest and Pretty Baby pageants, and pageant judges - Evelyn Ebbert, Kelli Zwoll, Roberta Noggle and Becky Swisher.
Miss Octoberfest Stacie Snider
Miss Octoberfest was chosen from the 4 and 5 year old pageant division, she is Miss Stacie Snider, daughter of Mike and Kristie Snider; second place - Shelby Ward, daughter of Chad and Tracy Ward; third place - Madelyn Adkins, daughter of Ronald and Carol Adkins.

Birth to 6 months: first place girls - Gwendolyn Ward, daughter of Chad and Tracy Ward; second place - Haley Murphy, daughter of Kristin and Brian Murphy; first place boys - Charlie Lynch, son of Patricia Lynch; second place - Christopher Criner, son of James Criner and Crystal Dobbins.
Seven to 12 months: first place girls - Jody Parsons, daughter of Krista Batten and James Parsons; second place - Emily Dobbins, daughter of Crystal Dobbins and James Criner; third place - Morgan Adkins, daughter of Ronald and Carol Adkins: first place boys - Steven Rogers, son of Steven Rogers and Amanda Reed; second place - Eric Keiffer, son of Tommy and Betsy Keiffer; third place - Coden Jones, son of Jerry and Betty Jones.
Thirteen to 23 months: first place girls - Laini Gloddon, daughter of Jonah and Melissa Gloddon; second place - Jocey Cutshall, daughter of Tobey and Michelle Cutshall; first place boys - Kennedy Ater, son of Sara Keen and Kenny Ater; second place - Caden Wright, son of Derek and Leeann Wright; third place - Charlie Cottrill, son of Kevin and Melissa Cottrill.
