Gerald D. "Cap" Cunningham, 85, of Grantsville, WV, died Sunday, August 5, 2001 at his home.
Born at Tanner, Gilmer County, WV, he was a son of the late Dee and Nettie Cunningham. He was retired from Pennzoil
Utilities Co. with forty years service. He was a member of Eureka Lodge # 40, A.F. & A.M. of Grantsville, Chapter #3 of the
Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rites Bodies of Parkersburg, WV and Osiris Temple of Wheeling, WV.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Margaret Knight Cunningham; a son and daughter in law, Larry and Jane Cunningham of
Winchester, VA; a daughter and son in law, Leanna Sue and Ray Jobin of Raleigh, NC; sister, Pearl Shellhorn of Wooster,
Ohio; brother, Harry Cunningham of Everett, Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Gregg Cunningham and his wife Cindie,
Angela Cunningham, Christopher Cunningham and Jennifer Jobin; three great grandchildren, Jessica, Courtney and Nicholas
Cunningham.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Three
Poplar Cemetery near Tanner. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Order of the Eastern Star
Memorial Services will be held by Grantsville Chapter #3 in the funeral home chapel at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Masonic Graveside
Rites will be conducted by Eureka Lodge # 40 A.F. & A.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky.
