Ernest Ray Kerby, 70, of Rittman, Ohio died
Thursday, September 28, 2006 at WRH Health System in
Doylestown, Ohio.
Graveside services were held
Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Ohio Western
Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. There
was no visitation. Gillman Funeral Home handled

Ernest was born December 15, 1935 in Cremo, West Virginia to
Lora John and Mary Virginia (Connolly) Kerby and
was married to Karlene Brown. She died in 1981.
He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War
and was a chemist at the Flint Ink Co. in
Cleveland before retiring. In 1964 he moved to
Rittman.
He was a member of Stanley W. Armentrout Post
1610 of the VFW in Rittman.
Surviving are Children, Carol J. (Scott)
Laudermilk of Canal Fulton, OH, and Ernest J.
Kerby of Barberton: three grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul F.(Mary)
Kerby of Pekin, IL, William M.(Sylvia) Kerby of
Seville, OH, Howard C. (Imelda) Kerby of San
Antonio, TX and Clyde E. Kerby of Mansfield, OH.
