Johnny Lee Patterson, 20, of Greenwood, who pled guilty to beating, tying up and robbing an elderly Spring Valley Estates man in Wirt County last year, will go to the state penitentiary for 10 years.
Patterson appeared in Wirt County Circuit Court yesterday before Judge Robert Waters for sentencing, following a plea agreement.
Patterson pled guilty to the burglary charge and was sentenced to 10 years in prison with the option of asking the court for an alternative sentence.
Patterson and his 17-year-old girlfriend were accused of assaulting Cleo Reynolds, taking his guns and thousands of dollars and other items from his home.
