An elderly Parkersburg man who allegedly shot at a neighbor was showing a newspaper photo of himself regarding the incident to seniors at the Wirt County Senior Center, who then called authorities.
Ray Smith, 79, was arrested Friday morning by the Wirt County Sheriff's Department.
He was arraigned in Wirt County Magistrate Court on a charge of wanton endangerment and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail in Doddridge County on a $20,000 bond.
Smith allegedly fired a gun at his neighbor Joshua Young. Young was not struck.
