Calhoun's unbeaten Red Devils are ranked 10th in the first West Virginia
Secondary Schools Activities Commission (WVSSAC) rankings released Tuesday.
The Red Devils have a 3-0 record and a 7.0 ranking. The Red Devils got six
points apiece for their victory over Class A schools (Doddridge and Gilmer)
and nine points for their win over Class AA Ritchie.
Defending Class A champion Wheeling Central Catholic is top ranked with a
9.67 ranking.
Mount Hope (9.50) is second. Williamstown, Greenbrier West,
Matewan, St. Marys, Gilbert, Meadow Bridge and Pendleton County follow them.
Calhoun will look to move up the rankings and stay unbeaten when they travel
to Parkersburg to face 17th-ranked Parkersburg Catholic Saturday at 7:30
p.m. in Parkersburg.
