HIGH RISK SPOTS HAVE ACCIDENTS

Emergency services responded to separate locations Thursday afternoon to vehicle wrecks during a slow rain.

Both incidents happened at the county's high-risk spots, Hog Knob Hill on Rt. 5 near Grantsville and in a sharp turn east of Sand Ridge Hill on US 33-119.

A beer truck went out of the road on Sand Ridge Hill, and had to be pulled out by Furr's wrecker. There were no injuries.

A truck went out of control on rain-slick Hog Knob Hill, causing damage to the front-end of the vehicle after it struck the hill.

Calhoun EMS responded with the Grantsville VFD. There were no injuries requiring transport to the hospital.

The accident was investigated by County Deputy Justin Metheney.

The Grantsville VFD responded to a truck accident on White Pine road at 5:30 p.m., with no injuries reported. The truck rolled-over, blocking the highway on White Pine Hill.
