FLORIST SHOP OWNER MINNICH PASSES

Eighty-year-old Jessie Frances Bush Minnich of Minnich Florist of Glenville and Grantsville has passed.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2006, at Ellyson Mortuary, Glenville WV. Interment will be in the Stalnaker Cemetery.

After marrying Jacob Aubrey Minnich in 1947, who preceded her in death, she and her husband established Minnich Florist in Glenville, where they resided and had their family.

Several years later they opened the Grantsville store.

Jessie graduated from Weston High School and attended Business College in Clarksburg. She worked at the Weston State Hospital and the West Virginia Employment office.

Jessie was active in the Gilmer County Fire Department Auxiliary, Parent-Teachers Association of Glenville School, and Women's Club in the 1950s and the Gilmer County Business Organization in later years.

She enjoyed cheering for her grandsons in their sports activities, granddaughter Jessica in her school activities and playing cars with great-granddaughter Rileigh Paige.

Jessie is survived by daughter Edna and Glenn Walton of Bridgeport, daughters Linda of Charleston and Ann of Tucson, Arizona, and Marilyn and Joe Dennison of Glenville; grandchildren Jack Walton of Berwyn, PA, Gary Walton of Redding, PA, Jill and Matt Naylon of Littleton, CO, Jessica Minnich of Tucson, AZ, David Dennison of Burnsville, WV; Jacob and Vicki Dennison of Tanner, WV, and Samuel Dennison of Glenville, WV.

Jessie has three great grandchildren Richard Walton of New York, NY, Tyler Naylon of Littleton, CO, and Rileigh Paige Dennison of Tanner, WV. She was surrounded by the love and care of family, special friends Betty White, Kelvin Sprouse, and Betty Smith, and care givers Bobbi Templeton and Billie Jo Ferguson.

Her last days prior to her death on August 1, 2006 were assisted by Hospice Care-Burnsville, WV.

In addition to her husband Jake, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, parents, brothers Napoleon, Floyd, Albert, and Frank, and sisters Bonnie and Monnie.
