 Bruce McCune, 89, of Orma, died Thursday, July 13, 2006.
He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Peter M. and Willa Bourne McCune. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He was a former oil field worker and carpenter. He and his brother, Norville, were the subject of a feature article in "Wild Wonderful West Virginia" magazine.
Surviving are one brother, Norville McCune of Orma, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dowe, Vance and Ralph McCune, and one sister, Stacy Allen.
Graveside rites were held at Orma United Methodist Church Cemetery.
