| Vernon Glen Gribble, 73, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Monday, July 3, 2006 at his home.
He was born at Freed on March 19, 1933 a son of the late Howard and Ina Freed Gribble.
He served in the Army from 1953-1955. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Hazel Richards Gribble; 2 daughters, Debbie Bush and Kathy Howell; 3 sons, Steve Gribble, Pete Freed and Tom Freed; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Erschel Freed, Hayward, Bernard, Cline and Murry Gribble; and 4 sisters, Janice Sutton, Mable Maxon, Clarice Bush and Freda Gribble.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, Saturday, July 8 at 1 p.m. Pastor Bobby Wagoner will officiate. Interment will be in the Freed Cemetery on Leading Creek Road.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. |
