The contract provides for living expenses including a house and
car, in addition to her salary.
"I think it'll be a wonderful opportunity for her," Harold said.
"She'll get to do something she loves to do and get paid for it."
Dobbins was unavailable over the July 4th holiday and is
leaving for vacation this week.
She participated in an invitation-only try out in Boston last
month and subsequently signed with the Coates Sports Management
agency.
Within days of signing with the agency, four European teams offered
the former Lady Pioneers center a contract to play professional basketball
in Europe.
Negotiations have been ongoing since.
Harold has said previously that Dobbins' is a player with
outstanding skills uncommon for a player of her stature.
She is 6'-6" tall.
Dobbins lead the Lady Pioneers to unprecedented success in
just two years at the school.
Among her many accomplishments the school had a record
setting 30-win season, and earned two appearances in the
Division II national tournaments. Dobbins is a school record
holder in blocked shots and "double-doubles."
Denae Dobbins is the daughter of David and Deborah Dobbins
of Lower Cedar Creek, Gilmer County.
