West Virginia State Police continue busting drug operations in Gilmer
County.
Tommy Lang (age unknown) of Alice Road was arrested Wednesday
afternoon at his residence.
Police charged him with one felony count of cultivating marijuana and
one felony count of possession with intent to sell.

Lang made his initial magistrate's court appearance and is out on bond.
The investigation began when Cpl. J.E. Skidmore, of the Glenville State
Police Detachment, received an anonymous tip that Lang was
a grower.
Senior Trooper R.P. Smith and Cpl. Skidmore visited the Lang residence,
initially determining no one was home.
They left the property and sometime later when Lang was returning to his
residence Cpl. Skidmore pulled the suspect over, according to SrTr. Smith.
The troopers told Lang they had reason to believe he was a marijuana
grower and requested to search his home.
Eventually Lang consented, telling the officers prior to entering the house
what they might expect to find, Sr.Tr. Smith said.
Thirty-one plants were seized, including one that was "chest high" and
almost mature, according to police.
An undetermined amount of marijuana "bud" was also confiscated.
"The investigation showed he'd been selling it as well," Sr.Tr. Smith said.
Two grow lights were confiscated; one was a greenhouse quality full-
spectrum, high output light.
Anyone wishing to confidentially report a crime, or suspicious activity, can
contact the Glenville detachment of the West Virginia State Police at 462-7101.
Sgt. C.M. Alton has previously said area residents have been very helpful in
solving a variety of criminal activity.
