A Japanese company says it will create 100 jobs at its new Jackson County facility.
Governor Joe Manchin was on hand to dedicate the Ravenswood site, after he had talked to the company last year in Japan.
"A.K. of West Virginia will operate the site. It is the result of a $10 million combined investment from K.S., which already operates in West Virginia, and ASKA Corporation," according to a press release.
A.K. of West Virginia is a metal stamping company that will manufacture small to medium-sized precision parts. Workers at the site will also perform welding and assembly as part of efforts to serve the automotive industry.
