West Virginia is finally getting a new state encyclopedia.
The 944-page volume contains more than two thousand entries. Every county and major city is covered, as are all of West Virginia's 34 governors.
The West Virginia Encyclopedia is due out next Tuesday, June 20th - West Virginia Day. It costs about 45 dollars.
The last West Virginia encyclopedia was a multi-book set published in 1976.
Work on the new book began in 1998 and involved nearly 600 authors and cost about one million dollars to produce. |
