Eleanor W. Starcher, 80, of Rittman, Ohio, formerly of Barberton died Thursday, July 19, 2001
after a short illness.
Eleanor was born January 4, 1921 at Millstone, Calhoun County, West Virginia, to the late
Simon and Alabama Booher Whytsell, she was raised by her uncle and aunt, the late Alpheus
and Indiana Booher Nester.
She was a faithful member of the Barberton Seventh Day Adventist Church and was retired
from Barberton Citizens Hospital with 23 years of compassionate care to those she attended.
Surviving are her faithful husband of 61 years, Othel Hugh Starcher and her loving daughter,
Patricia Ann Starcher, also of Rittman. Eleanor was a wonderful aunt to many nieces and
nephews and will be greatly missed by her dear friends, neighbors and church family.
Mrs. Starcher was the youngest and last of 11 children, preceded in death by her brothers, Elba
and Harry, infant twins, John and Noah; sisters, Ruby Wallbrown, Endra Mullinax, Edna
George, Freda Gandee, Tressie Morgan and Anna Whytsell.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 23, 1:00 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral
Home, Barberton. Pastor Clyde Ondrizek will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be
made to the Barberton Seventh Day Adventist Community Service Center, 223 2nd Street NW,
