The 8th annual Memorial Day Ceremony was held yesterday evening at Minnie Hamilton Long Term Care.
The highlight of the event was a youth group, April Falls, Kayla Miller, Micheala Grogg and Marshall Grogg, signing to music and the lighting of memorial candles as the names of people to remember were read.
Pastor Mary Zimmer welcomed the group, including residents of long term care, saying "The memorial service has been a community effort of the Chaplain's Association and the Friends of Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center."
A number of individuals and groups presented music, including Patty Mangus, Pam Davis, Allen Parsons, Shari Johnson, Calvin Wilson, and the Soul Seekers.
The Friend's group served refreshments.
