The WESTEST for grades 5 through 8 and grade 10 at Calhoun Middle-High School will be given Monday, May 15 - Thursday, May 19.
Make-up tests will be given the following week.

HOW PARENTS CAN HELP PREPARE FOR TESTS
Talk with your child about the test. Address any fears your child may have. Help build your child's confidence. Do not put pressure on your child.
Let your child know you want to support him or her during test week. Give extra attention. Fix a favorite meal for dinner or eat out. Do not allow your child to eat too much "junk" food. Watch a favorite video together. Allow a fun bubble bath. Enjoy a bedtime story together. Don't let your child stay up late - have an early bedtime.
Morning preparation - Allow plenty of time to get ready for school - no rushing. Fix a healthy breakfast - avoid sugar. Let your child wear a favorite outfit. Have your child wear clothing in layers - there;s nothing worse than being too hot or too cold. Send your child out the door with hugs and kisses.
Remember, if you show your child this is important to you, it will become important to your child.
