Erma Ruth Farrar, 83, of Mineral Wells and Ohio Valley Health Care, passed away April 29, 2006, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 20, 1922, in Gilmer County, a daughter of the late David B. and Anna J. Moss Waldeck. Erma was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Gospel Church. She was an excellent cook, a devoted mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by one son and his wife, David and Eleanor Farrar of Mineral Wells; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia and John Belyus of Columbus, Ohio, and Pamela and Fred Hardman of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Michael Farrar, Kristine Belyus Simmons, Lori Belyus Peairs, Veronica Wiggins Walls and Troy Wiggins; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Polly Sydenstricker of Edgewater, Md.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Farrar; four brothers, Stokes Waldeck, Carl Waldeck, Wade Waldeck and Marion Waldeck; and two sisters, Opal VanHorn and Lou Wilson.
Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Interment will follow at noon at the Prudence Chapel Cemetery, Minnora, W.Va. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
