| Eighteen-year-old Justin Young has died in Charleston Area Medical Center.
Young was life-flighted from Clay County last week after receiving a gunshot wound to the head on Murder Mountain.
Clay Sheriff Randy Holcomb said he viewed the shooting as a suspicious incident, although other sources indicated the gunshot was self-inflicted.
Authorities are now saying the shooting may have been accidential.
Young's brother was discovered unconscious, reportedly huffing gasoline.
While Murder Mountain is best known for shooting incidents, more recently the area was discovered harboring a large number of stolen vehicles and equipment.
