Riders return from 40 mile three-county trek
"I loved those mud holes"
More than 300 four-wheelers entered the Creston ATV Poker Run last Saturday, an event which just keeps getting bigger and better.
It was a 40-mile ride over hill and dale across three counties, certainly with lots of mud puddles and a few deep mud holes for those ATV'ers who enjoy the red clay.
ATV'ers came from all over the region, with a large contingency from Ohio.
First place winner was Dennis Deem, a big $900 pot.
Second place winner was Randy Church, $300.
Third winner was Pat Anderson (Mrs. Garry Anderson), $300.
Winner of the 50/50 drawing was Delmas Kellar.
The event is a fundraiser for the Creston Community Building.
These guys should have received the prize for the muddiest, maybe ever
All riders were vying for the grand prizes, up to $900.
