Tim Sutro, an eighth grade student received an invitation from Governor Joe Manchin III to attend the West Virginia Governor's School for Math and Science for rising ninth graders at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Green Bank, July 30 through August 12, 2006.
Only sixty eighth-grade students were selected from around the state to participate in this exciting problem-solving experience.
Zachary Hanshaw, a seventh grade student, received an invitation from Governor Joe Manchin III to attend the event for rising eighth graders at West Virginia University, July 5 though July 14, 2006. He was commended for his outstanding achievement as a mathematics and science scholar.
