| Wanoka "Tommie" Morehead, 79 of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at her home after a short illness.
She was born in Calhoun County, on Leading Creek, the daughter of the late Franklin Pierce and Ocie Blaine Goodnight.
She was retired from Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility and was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by four sons, Steve, Woodrow, Harold and Kevin; five daughters, Kathleen, Brenda, Marlene, Ginger and Debbie.
Also surviving is one sister, Blanche Bell; 20 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil "Bill" Morehead and one daughter, Phyllis Groves.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Harold Newsome will officiate. Interment will be in the Goodnight Cemetery at Big Bend.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. |
