The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department is proposing to increase fees for a large number of services the agency provides.
The 2006 WV Legislature passed a bill which allows the department to increase service fees and permits for everything from drilling water wells, septic systems, vending machines and mobile home parks to campgrounds, hotels, food service, child care and tattoo parlors.
There is a 30 day public comment period beginning April 3, 2006.
The permit for a sewage system permit would be $125, starting in 2006-07.
Other proposed charges:
Food service, depending on seating, from $62.50 to $187.50
Vending machines $31.25
Water well drilling $62.50
Mass gatherings $12.50
Organized camps (maximum) $75.00
Child care $31.25
Mobile home parks, from $62.50 to $187.50
Campgrounds $62.50 to $187.50
Hotels $62.50 to $187.50
Tattoo parlor $200
