PVT Brandon L. Gainer graduated basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina on Friday, February 24, 2006, where he also received the expert marksmanship rifle medal for his expert shooting.
Brandon is the son of Janet McCormick of Grantsville, West Virginia and the late Crede Gainer. He is the grandson of Marge and the late Ardene Gherke of Grantsville and Bertha and Bo Gainer of Big Springs, and is the big brother of Courtney Lewis.
Brandon is a 2004 graduate of Calhoun High School. Upon completion of AIT at Fort Jackson, Brandon will report to Fort Benning, Georgia where he will attend Airborne School.
