Calhoun High student Briana Blankenship will be participating in the Marshall Trumpet Fest March 25-26 held at Marshall University in Huntington.
Trumpet players from the tri-state area will participate in master classes, taught by guest clinician Greg Wing. The class is to improve trumpet skills.
The participants will then practice and perform a variety of music as a trumpet ensemble.
Briana will also be performing a solo at the fest, playing three movements from the "Suite in C Minor" by Antonio Vivaldi.
She and Brandon Barr, a student from Sissonville High School, will be performing "Concerto in B-flat for two B-flat trumpets and Piano" during the festival.
