| Vonda Gail Mahaney Godfrey, 83, of Chester, West Virginia formerly of Grantsville, passed away March 22, 2006 in Chester.
Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late William and Ella Sturm Mahaney. She was a former cook at Calhoun County High School and at the Rainbow Restaurant and John's Restaurant in Grantsville.
Surviving are sisters, Beulah Norton and Maxine Chambers of New Cumberland, WV, Barbara Zajac of Steubanville, Ohio, and Mary Lou Mahaney of Toronto, Ohio; a brother, Max Mahaney of Eastland, Texas.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Godfrey and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville.
