Kenneth Cloyd Hale, 68, of Fruitland Park, Fla., died Saturday, March 4, 2006.
He was born in Calhoun County, W.Va., a son of the late Selven and Orphie Hale. Mr. Hale was a retired vocational instructor at the Florida Department of Corrections. He was a member of the Sons of The American Legion, was a golfer, hunter and an avid gardener. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce C. Hale of Fruitland Park; one son, Kevin M. Hale of Fruitland Park; two brothers, George Hale of Parkersburg and Thomas Hale of Big Springs, W.Va.; and two sisters, Barbara Reed of Parkersburg and Carolyn DeWeese of Chloe, W.Va.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 8 at the Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake, Fla., with the Rev. Gordon Sanders officiating. Burial was in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.
