The Calhoun Commission spent most of Monday morning working on the 2006-07 budget, voting to continue to use the maximum levy rate that has been in place for several years.
Currently, the budget document is about $1,500,000, but several thousand dollars are pass-throughs and are not actual operating expenses, said commission president Larry McCallister.
