Elma Marie Rose, 78, of Munday died March 10, 2006, at Parkersburg.
She was born June 20, 1927, in Mellin, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Samuel R. and Opal Blanche (Haught) Lynch. She was a member of Hartley Church of Christ, Brohard. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and, most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Kenny Cheuvront of Elizabeth and Nancy and Dave Hornbeck of Parkersburg; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Louise Rose of Parkersburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Oma Jean Lynch of Waverly and Ed and Sharon Lynch of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Teresa Goldsmith (Mark) of Michigan, Melanie Axley (Jason) and Joe Cheuvront (Kitty), both of Elizabeth, and Nicholas and Adam Hornbeck of Parkersburg; five great-grandchildren, Nicole Goldsmith, Emma and Caleb Axley and Ashton and Aiden Cheuvront.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Rose; her twin sister, Erma Freed; and brother-in-law, Erschel Freed.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Evangelist Eugene Conger will officiate. Interment will be in the Hartley Cemetery at Brohard.
