A nineteen-year-old Calhoun teenager is dead from a fall near Waynesburg, PA Tuesday night.
Phillip Watkins of Chloe, son of long-time Department of Highway employee Billy Watkins, fell from a railroad overpass to State Route 21, according to Waynesburg authorities.
The youth left Calhoun Monday to pursue employment with OSMOSE, a company that treats wooden utility poles with a preservative.
A witness, who is a co-worker, told police that Watkins and another man climbed a bank onto the overpass while a train was crossing over it.
While waiting for the train to pass, the victim lost his footing and fell onto the roadway under the overpass.
Details were not available regarding a funeral service.
