| Violet Graham Cottrell, 83, of Highland, California, died Sunday, February 19, 2006, in Chandler, AZ, from cancer.
She was born March 2, 1922, in Clay, a daughter of the late Walter and Delphia Wayne Duffield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard.
Violet was an LPN, who worked for many years at the former Spencer State Hospital, before moving to California. She retired from the Patton State Hospital, California. On October 11, 1941, she married Dexter Gale Cottrell.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Dexter of Highland, CA; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Regina of Chandler, AZ; one brother, Robert of Bradenton, FL; three grandchildren, DeVonna and Jason of Kansas and Paul of Chandler, AZ; two great grandsons, Cooper and Levi of Kansas.
She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Swank Cemetery, Speed, with Pastor Charles L. Davis officiating.
