| Rumors have been afloat regarding a car accident involving Fairmont State College student and Big Springs resident Evan Cunningham.
The rumors indicated Cunningham was fatally injured in the accident.
Cunningham's father, Ralph Cunningham, reports that he was in an accident Wednesday near Clarksburg on I-79.
"Let me assure you he is alive and well with only some bruises and scratches. No stitches or broken bones. Very lucky. Thank God."
