Bruce Schoolcraft was taken to Camden-Clark Hospital in Parkersburg for treatment of possible fractures, and Sandy Satterfield was treated and released.

Ed Eisley, the driver of another vehicle in a second accident, near the intersection of Klipstine Road and Rt. 16 in the Five Forks-Big Springs area, escaped injury.

That vehicle went over an embankment and landed near a creek.

Black ice likely contributed to both accidents.

The Smithville VFD responded to the Ritchie County accident.

The Grantsville VFD and State Police responded to the Klipstine accident.
