Briana Blankenship (L) and Emily Thomas (R) have been chosen to participate in the
WVU Invitational High School Honor Band Program.
It is being held February 9, 10, and 11 in Morgantown.
The event brings together top high school musicians from seven states to practice and perform under outstanding guest conductors.
Guest conductors this year include WVU's own Don Wilcox, Director of Bands Emeritus at WVU; Ken Dye Director of Bands at the University of Notre Dame; and Bob Scott.

The 27th annual WVU Honor Band program consists of three bands, outstanding high school musicians from over 100 schools.
Briana and Emily will spend two days rehearsing with other top musicians and perform on Saturday at the WVU Creative Arts Center to close out the 3-day event.
