| Velta Ocie Starcher, 91, of Ravenswood, West Virginia, formerly of Spencer, passed away January 28, 2006.
Born at Altizer in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Emma Craddock Sampson. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are son, Dale Starcher of Painesville, Ohio; sisters, Lelah Starcher of Rittman, Ohio, Nina Mae Saunders of Latta, SC, and Bessie Nutter of Fleming, Ohio; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kessler Starcher; a son, Carl Starcher; granddaughter, Sheila Laughlin; and five brothers, Ralph, Ernest, Cyrus, Hollie and Frank Sampson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 31 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Interment will be in the Gibson Cemetery at Arnoldsburg. |
