AmeriCorps Project MOVE sponsored a Martin
Luther King Jr. contest for the month of
January.
We would like to thank Arnoldsburg
Elementary School for their participation in
this event.
Students in kindergarten, and first
grade were given a coloring page of Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr.
Third grade students were asked
to write their own "I Have a Dream Too" speech,
and fourth grade students wrote an essay on "How
to Keep the Dream Alive".
Winners in
kindergarten were, Brent Anderson, Darla
Harrison, and Alexis Phillips. First grade
winners were, Bronwynn Cox, Makayla Smith, and
Rebekah Peck. Third grade winners were, Tiffany
Brannon, Lawrence Isenhart, and Joseph Thomas.
Fourth grade winners were, Nicholas Smith, Logan
Moore, and Shayla Arnold.
Each winner received a
1st, 2nd, or 3rd place ribbon, and all students
that submitted an entry in the contest received
a participation certificate.
A special thanks to
Dollar General Store for donating the ribbons,
and to everyone that helped make this project a
success.
