| Virginia M. Pursley, 80, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Friday, January 13, 2006, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.
She was born December 10, 1925, at Boggs Fork near Spencer, a daughter of the late Roma Lee and Flossie Daller Short. She was a former 30-year employee of Kellwood Corporation, a longtime member of the Boggs Fork Community Church, and a lifelong resident of Roane County.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Paul E. Pursley; daughter, Linda L. Miller of Easley, SC; three grandchildren, Lisa Massey, Angie James, and David D. Miller, all of Easley; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Niday of Weston, WV, and Lillian Church of Medina, OH; and brother, Franklin Short of Ravenswood, WV.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
