CHICKEN WING STABBING - A fight over frozen chicken wings led to a stabbing in Wheeling.

Terry Walker told police he was staying at a friend's apartment when Thomas W. Elder came by to ask for some beer and whiskey.

Elder returned later and asked for coffee, but then took frozen smoked sausage and chicken wings out of Walker's freezer.

When Walker told him he could not have the food, Elder allegedly threw one of the chicken wings at Walker, giving him a 1-inch cut.

The following day Elder came back and got into an argument with Walker.

Witnesses said the two got into a struggle and Elder grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed and stabbed Walker.

The couple, who were not married, had no children and no one else was in the home.

They apparently died between Thursday night and Saturday.
