| Orvan Buck, 100, passed away December 11, 2005, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Calhoun County, May 1, 1905, the son of Esta Gainer and Salathial Buck.
While living in Calhoun County, he was employed by Godfrey L. Cabot Corporation for several years. He later became affiliated with Ohio Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union where he was employed as a welder and pipe fitter. He had only recently received his 50 year membership award.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Freda Hardman Buck, his first wife, Vanna Core Buck Waldo, a son, Kenneth Lewis, and two daughters, Garnet and Beatrice. He is survived by a son, Garland of West Jefferson, Ohio and Orvin Glenn of Grantsville, WV; grandchildren, Deborah Troyer, Orvin Eugene, Jon, Joel, Kenneth II, Stephen and William Buck; several great grandchildren, step children and step great grandchildren, brother-in-law James Hardman, and several nieces and nephews. .
Graveside services will be conducted by Rev. Michael Brown at 1 PM, Saturday, December, 17, 2005. Rader-McDonald Funeral Home of West Jefferson, Ohio, will be in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Monroe County, Ohio. |
