COUNTY DEER KILL DOWN 22% FIRST WEEK - Ballengee's Kill 11-Pt.

(12/03/2005)

Saundra and Carl Ballengee tag-teamed this nice 11 point buck during the first week of deer season. The Ballengee's were hunting together on their property on Daniels Run when the deer stepped into view.

Saundra fired a knock down shot and lost sight of the deer. Carl could still see it and finished it off. They were quite surprised to find that they had killed an 11-point with one drop tine, a rare find in these parts

The deer kill in Calhoun was down 22% the first week, according to the WV Department of Natural Resources in Parkersburg.

The kill, according to most reports, is down statewide.
