A Roane County woman was killed Friday morning after her car struck a utility pole along Amma Road near the Interstate 79 Amma exit, according to authorities.
Katherine Pearl Sloan, 31, was dead at the scene.
Sloan's one-year-old son survived the crash and was treated at CAMC. and released into the custody of his grandparents.
Police are investigating the wreck.
