James Ronzell "Ron" Truman, 73, of Spencer died Nov. 2, 2005 at Braxton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born at Oka, a son of Greely and Ruby D. Simons Truman. He was formerly employed by Ford Motor Company at Walton Hills Stamping Plant and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an accomplished bluegrass musician and was a horseman.
He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Browning of Elkview; one son, John Truman of Millstone; six sisters, Virginia Dye of Glen Ferris, Leona Jones of Ripley, Loretta Snodgrass of Left Hand and Wilma Boggs, Nina Sanchez and Netta Ruth Harold, all of Spencer; one brother, Randall Truman of Charleston; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leo Truman.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Tanner officiating. Visiting hours are Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jarvis Cemetery near Oka.
