| Clay County authorities responded at 2 p.m. yesterday to a woman with a gunshot wound to the chest in the Go-Mart parking lot at the Big Otter I-79 exit.
Reports from the scene indicated the woman was seriously injured.
Clay County EMS went to the scene and transported the woman to Charleston Area Medical Center after HealthNet was unable to transport the victim.
The incident was first reported as an accident, the
State Police and the Clay County Sheriff are investigating.
