| MARTINSBURG MAN BELIEVED MURDERED - Martinsburg police are investigating a possible homicide.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Donald Lee Redman, who died of a gunshot wound to the head.
The body was found on a back porch of a vacant Martinsburg apartment early yesterday. Police believe Redman was killed two doors away at about 5 a.m.
The body was to be taken to Charleston for an autopsy.
MURDER-SUICIDE IN RAVENSWOOD - A Ravenswood man shot and killed his wife and then himself, Wednesday.
Police said 35-year-old Mary Bailes was separated from her husband, 52-year-old Michael Bailes.
Investigators say Michael Bailes showed up at his wife's house on Wednesday and got into a fight with her father. He then broke down a door and shot his wife several times in the chest, before turning the gun on himself.
Mary Bailes was dead when police arrived and Michael Bailes died a short time later at Jackson General Hospital.
