Murder charge reduced in plea

Murder charges against a Spencer woman charged with giving methadone to a man who died of a drug overdose have been reduced after she entered into a plea agreement.
Cristal Dawn Coon, 24, of Spencer pled to three charges in Roane Circuit Court Monday, including two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
If the plea is accepted, a charge of murder against Coon will be dismissed.
In March of last year, 18-year-old Benjamin Murray was found dead in the bathtub of the Reedyville Road home he shared with his girlfriend, Tiffany Keeney.
After a night of partying the two had fallen asleep in the bathtub. Keeney told police when she awoke a few hours later Murray was not breathing ...
