| John Ison Matics, 27, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Sunday, October 23, 2005, in the St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington.
He was born June 28, 1978, in Akron, Ohio, a son of James S. Matics, Sr. of Florida and Eileen Conley Matics of Spencer.
John was an employee of Viking Well Service, Sissonville and a graduate of Roane County High School, Spencer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Kaitlyn Nicole Bailey of Sissonville and Brianna Dawne Matics of Normantown; two brothers, James S. Matics, Jr. and Stanley A. Matics both of Akron, OH; maternal grandparents, Ison and Mary Conley of Spencer; four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Pearl Matics.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Wayne McGlothlin officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Rest Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday.
