Ada Mae Morrison, 78, of Heartland of Marietta, Marietta, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 20th. at
Heartland.
Born in Wood County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Laura Gadd Williams. She
was a retired Calhoun County Teachers Aid and a homemaker. She was a member of the
Prosperity Baptist Church at Big Springs, the Big Springs Homemaker's Club and the Calhoun
County Teacher's Association.
Surviving are her husband, J. P. Morrison, whom she married December 27, 1941. Three sons,
Melvin and his wife Sharon Morrison of Smithville, WV; Weldon and his wife Lynn Morrison of
Springfield, Ohio and Marshall Morrison of McConnellsvile, Ohio. Four daughters, Linda and her
husband, Hollie Daggett of Belpre, Ohio; Ioka and her husband, Tom Echard of Parkersburg,
WV; Arma and her husband, Dean Swain of Murraysville; Helen and her husband, Richard
Irvine of Waterford, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; a step grandchild; 20 great grandchildren and 2
step-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Donna Williams of Middlebourne, WV.
She was preceded in death by a sister, 5 brothers and a great granddaughter
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Prosperity Baptist Church, Big Springs.
Reverend Kenneth Heiney and Reverend Alfred Hickman will officiate. Interment will be in the
Mt. Zion Cemetery, Brohard. Friends may call at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville from 3-8 p.m.
